System Administrator
Description Location: Remote w/occasional onsite requirements (candidate must reside within the Fort Worth/Dallas, TX area) Job Type: W-2 Shift: Monday–Thursday (4x10 schedule) Pay Range: Non-exempt; $95,000-110,000 annual Security Clearance: N/A Ryan Consulting Group, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to provide system administration, maintenance, patching, vulnerability management, and operational support for Linux-based environments.
The role is responsible for maintaining system reliability and security through firmware and patch management, antivirus and vulnerability management, data backup and recovery, task automation, and IT customer support. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, 7, 8, and 9 , with additional experience in enterprise infrastructure support, system maintenance, and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include: Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6, 7, 8, and 9 operating systems.
Perform firmware patching and ongoing firmware patch management. Support antivirus management within enterprise environments; CrowdStrike and/or Trellix experience is preferred. Perform vulnerability management activities; experience with Nessus/Tenable Agent is preferred. Perform and support data backup and recovery activities. Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive system administration tasks; Ansible experience is preferred.
Utilize scheduling tools to prioritize jobs across constrained computing resources. Provide IT customer support and service delivery; ServiceCentral experience is a plus. Support the ongoing reliability, security, and operation of assigned systems and infrastructure. Utilizing scheduling tools to prioritize workloads and system resources. Hands-on system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, 7, 8, and 9. IT customer support or service delivery experience. Must reside within the Fort Worth/Dallas, TX area. Experience with Solaris 10 and 11 desired. Experience with SuSE Linux is desired. CrowdStrike and/or Trellix experience is desired. Nessus/Tenable Agent experience is desired.
Ansible experience is desired. ServiceCentral experience is a plus.
