Commissioning Specialist (Mechanical) Position Overview Seeking a Commissioning Specialist to support mechanical systems through startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover. This role works closely with project teams, technicians, and clients to ensure systems meet performance and project requirements. Responsibilities Perform startup, testing, inspections, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Complete commissioning documentation, checklists, and deficiency tracking. Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules and project milestones. Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and commissioning plans. Witness equipment testing and verify system performance. Attend project meetings and provide status updates. Identify issues and support corrective actions. Maintain strong client and stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications Experience with mechanical construction, HVAC, or commissioning projects. Understanding of commissioning processes, documentation, and turnover procedures. Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building systems. Ability to read construction drawings and specifications. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications BAS/Controls experience. Data center, mission-critical, healthcare, industrial, or manufacturing project experience. TAB experience. Ability to interpret controls diagrams and sequences of operation. Experience working with owners, facility teams, or end users. Knowledge of MEP coordination and commissioning best practices. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haskell, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $49.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
