Pharmacy Technician Long-Term Care | Day Shift | Excellent Career Advancement Job Description The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for order entry and triage related to monthly medications. This role involves managing incoming calls and directing them appropriately, as well as communicating with LTC facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians. The technician is responsible for receiving drug orders via faxes and other forms and answering medication-related questions.
Additionally, they will utilize Frameworks and Frameworks ECM to perform their duties. Responsibilities Establish and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient profiles. Receive prescriptions and refill requests, ensuring that information is complete and accurate. Process prescriptions using third-party insurance billing. Answer telephone calls to assist facilities and patients with questions, referring them to the pharmacist for medication information as needed.
Essential Skills Registered Pharmacy Technician with the state of MN. 6+ months of pharmacy experience, including familiarity with SIG codes. Work Environment The technician will work in an office environment with their own desk. The role involves repetitive tasks, but a variety of orders come through that require careful processing. The team is responsible for handling all incoming phone calls, faxes, and electronic orders.
Work hours are Monday-Friday with start times between 7-9am and finish times between 3:30-5:30pm. While the schedule is set ahead of time and does not typically include weekends, there is a possibility of being required to work every fourth weekend. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
