Job Title: Systems Engineer III Job Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to support final system and subsystem verification activities for a space vehicle program. This role is primarily focused on requirements verification, execution, closure, and cross-functional coordination across technical organizations as the program advances towards its first mission. Unlike traditional architecture-focused roles, this position centers on systems verification and validation efforts, requiring collaboration with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Mission Operations, Integration & Test, Ground Systems, and Safety organizations.
Responsibilities Support system and subsystem level verification and track closure of requirements. Collaborate across various technical organizations to ensure requirements are properly verified, documented, and closed. Navigate complex technical environments to drive verification activities to completion. Administer baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high-impact trade studies.
Establish and track key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM). Essential Skills Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools such as CAMEO. Proficiency in MBSE, Interface control documents, Decomposition of Requirements, DOORS, and JIRA. Strong background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry. Experience or certification in INCOSE standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to interface with a variety of stakeholders across program areas.
Willingness to learn and ask questions in diverse topics ranging from Mechanical to Ground Systems and Safety. Exposure to MATLAB and NoMagic. Work Environment This role operates within a highly collaborative systems engineering environment supporting spacecraft development and mission readiness activities. It combines requirements management, technical coordination, verification support, documentation, and program execution responsibilities.
The candidate should be comfortable managing large amounts of technical information, coordinating with numerous engineering teams, and facilitating requirements closure discussions. The position is based in Louisville, Colorado, but remote candidates may also be considered. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Centennial, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
