This role will help the Life Science business to fully comply with all relevant customs and other government agency (OGA) requirements and will implement effective control procedures for the import/export of regulated items and provide direction on regulations. Provide support for completing license applications and track status of import authorization requests through government channels. Support review and classification of products against regulatory requirements of other government agencies (e.g., MFDS, QIA, NRSH, MOTIE, etc.) and maintain the classification information within relevant company systems/tools (e.g., SAP).

Implement the company's regulatory management policy, corporate regulatory management standards, and best practice procedures. Provide policy direction, advice, and guidance for import/export activities to Commercial, Product Management, Customer Excellence, Supply Chain, and Distribution in compliance with local regulations. Interface with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to process import and export shipments.

Effectively support the managing regulatory pathway for Life Science (LS) products and services in South Korea, covering areas such as aseptic processing, Animal-by-products (ABP), Electric Electronic devices (E&E), Narcotics, BioWeapon Convention (BWC), Chemical weapon Convention (CWC), Drug precursor (DPC), Flavors & Fragrances (F&F), Living modified organism (LMO), Ozone depleting substance (ODS), Radioactive element in natural environment (RNE) etc.

Monitor and report on changes of the relevant regulatory environment with impact on the Life Science business. Analyze available regulatory regulation information. Coordinate strategic activities with subject matter experts, local regulatory bodies, and industry associations effectively. Who You Are Education and Languages: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related science background with a strong emphasis in biopharmaceuticals / biologics / chemical (international trade related double major(or minor) highly preferred).

Fluent in Korean and English (verbal and written) is required. Interpersonal communication skills in Korean & English Professional Skills and Experience: A minimum of +2 years’ regulatory experience in government-related industry or +2 years of academic/research field with deep understanding in biologics/chemicals. Experience in trade affairs, trade compliance, and trade regulations as well as understanding of logistic and supply chain would be a plus.

Good knowledge of Korean import/export regulations and licensing. Experience working with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, manufacturing, quality, global compliance, packaging, etc. Ability to form and maintain working professional relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., regulatory authorities, customs broker, etc.). SAP ERP experience and proficiency in MS Office suite. Personal Skills and Competencies: Team player with excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to analyze and respond to given situations quickly and effectively. Able to work well in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
