The Raw Receiving Operator plays a key role in supporting production operations by ensuring the safe and efficient handling of raw product deliveries, maintaining sanitation standards, monitoring product quality, and supporting inventory flow within the facility.
This position contributes to operational excellence by promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the raw receiving process. What you’ll be doing. Assist with truck placement and coordination for unloading raw product deliveries. Monitor the flow of potatoes from delivery trucks to maintain efficient operations. Inspect incoming raw product for foreign material and remove contaminants from the system.
Record foreign material findings and communicate results to appropriate stakeholders. Perform daily and scheduled downtime sanitation activities within the raw receiving area. Replace excess raw inventory back into production lines as required. Change frying oil daily in accordance with established procedures. Coordinate with inspection services to ensure incoming loads are sampled accurately and on time.
Safely operate forklifts and other equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Support McCain Competitive Edge and Lean Manufacturing initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD). What you’ll need to be successful. High school diploma or GED required. Minimum three months of related manufacturing, production, warehouse, or operational experience. Ability to obtain and maintain McCain Forklift Certification.
Successful completion of the McCain Operator Training Program. Basic computer skills, including the ability to work with database systems such as Infinity. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies. Ability to regularly lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules as business needs require. About the team. You will be part of the operations team supporting raw receiving and production activities within the facility. The team works collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, field, and inspection personnel to ensure raw materials are received, inspected, handled, and processed safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
