Weekly Pay: $22-24/hr Job Description: 1st Shift 6AM/7AM start time end by 3:30PM The Deburrer / Production Technician finishes machined plastic parts by removing excess material and performing secondary machining operations such as deburring, drilling, hand-tapping, cutting, sawing, sanding, grinding, and buffing. This role works closely with machining operations, uses hand tools and inspection equipment, and contributes to consistent, high-quality production while following established schedules and safety guidelines.
Responsibilities Finish machined plastic parts to specification by deburring, drilling, hand-tapping holes, cutting, sawing, sanding, grinding, buffing, and routing to remove excess material. Read and follow production schedules to complete work on time and support on-time deliveries. Use appropriate inspection equipment to check products for quality and verify that parts meet required tolerances and specifications.
Continuously improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of finished machined products by applying job knowledge and suggesting improvements. Perform secondary machining operations, including deburring and related finishing processes, as required by each job. Inspect personal work and assist in inspecting the work of others to maintain consistent external quality expectations. Provide input on work instructions and process documentation to improve clarity, efficiency, and quality.
Cross-train on different machining and finishing tasks and assist with training other team members when needed. Properly label, handle, and dispose of used materials and maintain clean, organized work areas. Follow and support all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines while operating tools, equipment, and machinery. Work overtime when required to support customer demand and meet production deadlines.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall production operations. Essential Skills Experience with deburring and finishing machined parts using hand tools and equipment. Ability to use hand tools such as files, deburring tools, sanders, saws, and routers for material removal and finishing. Familiarity with production and general labor environments, including assembly or assembly line work.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or part drawings to understand specifications and finishing requirements. Skill in using inspection equipment to verify dimensions and quality of finished parts. Attention to detail and ability to inspect own work and the work of others for quality and consistency. Exposure to secondary machining operations such as drilling, hand-tapping, cutting, grinding, buffing, and routing.
