Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic $30-$35/HR Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and work closely with production leadership to prioritize and complete repairs. The position offers consistent access to overtime for those who enjoy additional earning opportunities.
Responsibilities Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and responding promptly to trouble calls. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems using schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits, including low voltage systems and up to 480V three-phase power. Remove and replace defective parts and components from equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools in a safe and controlled manner.
Communicate clearly and regularly with the shift supervisor to prioritize repair work and minimize production downtime. Document all maintenance activities by making accurate entries in the maintenance log, including issues encountered, repairs completed, and parts used or required. Maintain company tools in good working condition by keeping them organized, clean, and properly stored after use. Fabricate repair parts, machine guarding, mezzanines, and other structural or safety components using shop equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, torches, and grinders.
Support overall maintenance management by contributing to a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in the maintenance department. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with maintenance supervision or supporting maintenance management activities. Experience in electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical systems. Ability to fabricate parts and structures using welders, plasma cutters, torches, and grinders.
Familiarity with installing or repairing machine guarding, mezzanines, and related safety structures. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills in an industrial setting. Willingness to pursue additional training or coursework in electrical and mechanical maintenance to expand technical expertise. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
