Job Title: General Laborer Job Description The General Laborer supports daily field operations by assisting heavy equipment operators, performing outdoor manual labor, and helping with heavy lifting as needed. This role requires consistent communication with the team, safe use of tools and equipment, and a strong focus on completing tasks efficiently and safely in an outdoor work setting. Responsibilities Assist heavy equipment operators by spotting and guiding them to ensure safe and accurate work in active job areas.
Perform outdoor labor tasks, including site preparation, basic assembly, cleaning, and general construction support. Support heavy lifting activities by safely moving, lifting, and positioning materials and equipment as directed. Use hand tools, power tools, and tape measures to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around heavy machinery and equipment.
Communicate clearly and consistently with team members to coordinate work and ensure tasks are completed on time. Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around heavy equipment and machinery. Assist with general labor duties such as landscaping, construction support, and other physical tasks as required. Essential Skills Experience performing general labor tasks in outdoor environments.
Ability to assist with and perform heavy lifting safely and repeatedly. Familiarity with basic equipment operation in a construction or industrial setting. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Experience in general labor, assembly, construction, or landscaping. Strong communication skills to coordinate with heavy equipment operators and team members.
Comfort working around heavy machinery and following safety protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in general labor roles such as construction, landscaping, or assembly. Exposure to forklift operation or other material-handling equipment. Willingness to perform cleaning and site maintenance tasks. Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a field environment.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kaufman, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
