Payroll Specialist with German Key Responsibilities: Manage payroll month-end close process, prepare payroll reports and controls to ensure smooth payroll authorization. Ensure accuracy of data and salary calculations through validating payroll results, performing payroll quality checks, creating payroll reconciliations. Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies independently or with the vendor.
Maintain close contact with internal and external auditors to ensure payroll calculations. Managing payroll-related queries from employees, HR, Finance, and management. Coordinating year-end activities and statutory reporting. Supporting payroll projects, process improvements, and system changes. Maintaining payroll procedures, work instructions, and governance documentation. Ensuring compliance with payroll policies, tax regulations, social security requirements, and labour law.
Maintaining and applying knowledge of local labour law, collective agreements, statutory payments, leave regulations, and other employment-related requirements. Providing payroll guidance to HR and employees on payroll-related legal and regulatory matters. Participate in payroll tests and checks on the setting of the new payroll system to ensure the best possible payroll accuracy. Why You? Necessary Qualifications & Skills: At least 2 years of experience in German payroll processing (Exposure to Austrian, Swiss, or other international payroll environments is considered a nice-to-have) Understanding of payroll principles and processes, with a strong foundation in payroll legislation, statutory requirements, and employment law.
