Job Location: Brucejack Camp Workplace Type: Onsite Recruiter Name: Regan Shiu Pay Grade: 1.2 Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us.
We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community. Your Impact Play a critical role in keeping site facilities running safely and efficiently by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental requirements while supporting safe and reliable mine operations.
As Part of the Team Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Diagnose and replace defective equipment and components. Maintain accurate inventory records for parts and refrigerant supplies. Prepare equipment condition reports and maintenance documentation. Service small appliances and furnaces. Support site operations and contribute to a strong safety-first culture.
Prerequisites Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Refrigeration Technician. Class A or B Gas Fitter Certification (or willingness to obtain required certification). Minimum 4 years of refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry. Strong troubleshooting and computer skills. Valid driver's license. WHMIS and TDG certifications are considered strong assets.
Work Environment Fly-in/fly-out, remote camp-based operation. Rotational schedule of 13 days on, 13 days off, plus travel days. 12-hour shifts in a dynamic industrial environment. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. Collaborative team environment focused on safety, respect, and operational excellence. The expected salary range for this role is CAD $63.35/hr + 10% STIP. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
