We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to provide meaningful psychiatric care in a residential setting while collaborating with experienced behavioral health professionals. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations. Provide medication management for residential patients. Perform weekly psychiatric follow-up visits. Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and Advanced Practice Providers to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation using BestNotes electronic medical records.
Participate in on-call coverage two days per week. Facility Information Residential Behavioral Health Facility Specialty programs include: Trauma Substance Use Disorders Eating Disorders 109 licensed beds Average daily census: 70 patients Average length of stay: 45–60 days Clinical team includes 3 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs) Qualifications Required MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified in Psychiatry Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) Current DEA registration Experience treating patients with behavioral health and co-occurring disorders preferred Top Responsibilities Medication management Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations Weekly psychiatric follow-up appointments Summary: Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures. Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred. Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications: Board certification in psychiatry Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
