Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly talented and motivated Civil Engineer to join our Central California team out of our Fresno and Bakersfield offices. The new position will support AECOM’s Central California Department which work emphasis is on meeting the engineering needs of our local Special District and Municipal clients as well as supporting other Regions within the Water Business Line.  We are seeking an individual with planning, design, and construction administration experience in water / wastewater and other civil engineering projects.  Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist with and or provide technical guidance in the planning stage of a project including preparation of funding applications, environmental, Right of Way acquisitions, preliminary engineering studies, basis of design reports, master planning, and rate and connection fee studies.
Assist with and or provide technical guidance in the design stage of the project including preparation of construction drawings and technical specifications as well as cost estimating. Assist with and or provide technical guidance in the bidding stage of the project including attendance to pre bid meetings, answering requests for information, preparation of addenda, and bid opening and analysis. Assist with and or provide technical guidance in the construction phase of the project which may include engineering services only such as review of requests for information and shop drawings submittals or full construction administration services including inspection services.
Assist with and or provide construction inspection services.  Qualifications Minimum Requirements:  BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications:  4+ years overall in a role with relevant experience Engineer in Training Certificate Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) Engineering design and construction field inspection experience CAD Civil 3D experience Additional Information No sponsorship will be offered for this role No relocation will be offered for this role At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
