The position is for Mozambique LNG project.  Job Description Develop, manage and implement the panel operators training program. Support the overall Operator Competency and Qualification program. To be the custodian of the Operator Training Simulator (OTS) to ensure that it is properly maintained and available to support panel operators training and competencies delivery. Validate Operating procedures which would include start-up, normal shutdown, cooldown and emergency shutdown of the Mozambique LNG Plant.
Interface with process engineering & DCS engineers to develop and test future process and control opportunities such as Advanced Process Control, MCHE auto-cool, etc.. HSE & Compliance Adhere to all HSE policies, confidentiality rules, compliance requirements, and site procedures. Promote a strong safety culture and work safely at all times. Identify and report unsafe situations; contribute to continuous HSE performance improvement.
Attend mandatory HSE training and ensure team and vendors comply with HSE requirements. Support ISO 14001 environmental management system initiatives. Training & Competency Development General Operations Training Support development of general Operations training policies, programs, and materials. Ensure all training is aligned with local regulatory requirements. Assist with Panel Operator and Field Operator competency and qualification programs.
Contribute to Toolbox Talks and deliver topic-based training sessions. OTS-Specific Training Ensure that experienced panel operators are qualified to operate plant areas safely and effectively. Lead the development of national trainees into fully qualified panel operators. Assess and validate operating procedures (start‑up, normal shutdown, cooldown, emergency shutdown). Witness MAT, FAT, SAT activities and vendor training sessions related to the OTS.
Develop and implement comprehensive OTS training programs covering: Start-up sequences Shutdown and cooldown Troubleshooting Emergency operations LNG trains, utilities, upstream, MEG, inlet facilities, storage & loading operations Define training standards, methods, and goals for all trainees. Manage training materials and ensure effective dissemination. Maintain complete training records and reports.
Lead competency assessments and qualification evaluations for panel operators. Ensure the OTS is updated to the latest ICSS software version. Maintain the Operator Training Manual. Request and coordinate vendor support within approved OPEX budgets. Oversee routine OTS system maintenance: Antivirus scans System health checks Patches/updates License management Qualifications Technical Requirements Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work with multi‑disciplinary, multicultural teams. Excellent knowledge of: DCS panel operations Safety shutdown systems Oil & gas / LNG production processes Natural gas treatment, LNG production, utilities, storage & loading operations Emergency response systems Strong troubleshooting skills for process upsets and operational issues.
Proficient with standard computer applications (Windows, Office). Excellent command of written and spoken English. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering , or equivalent technical field. Minimum 15 years of production experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries. Minimum 5 years of experience in LNG
