Arcosa seeks a  Human Resources Generalist  to support our plant in Sumterville, FL. Arcosa Traffic Structures is a leading manufacturer of structural steel products for the DOT market, focused on gaining long-term client commitment by providing top-quality products.  We are an AWS and AISC certified fabricator of overhead steel and aluminum sign structures, tolling gantry structures, mono tube sign and signal structures, signal mast arm poles, strain poles, high mast lighting poles, bridge mounts, multi-post beams, sign arms, and all types of miscellaneous steel fabrication.

Arcosa Traffic Structures can provide engineer designed structures and state DOT specified designed structures to fit your project requirements.  Duties include but are not limited to the administration of various corporate-led programs, recruitment and onboarding for the facility, HR Compliance and providing support and assistance to our leaders and employees at the facility.  Additionally, as a member of the plant leadership team, the Senior Human Resource Generalist plays a significant role in fostering a positive work environment and culture.    Arcosa, Inc.

The company has businesses with leading positions in construction, energy, and transportation markets with annual revenues in excess of $2B.   Essential Duties: Support and guide plant leaders and employees regarding administration and interpretation of policies and procedures Support local payroll management for the plant locations, in coordination with the Corporate Payroll team Drive cultural changes and leadership behaviors across the organization Process and track information in support of policies and benefits such as Leave of Absences, FMLA, and other leave types.

Provides guidance to plant leaders on recruitment and onboarding procedures Manage the interviewing and selection process, including creating requisitions, developing well-written position descriptions, building recruitment strategies for passive sourcing, closing candidates and onboarding Assist with annual talent management processes (performance reviews, goal setting, etc.) Assist with open enrollment, employee engagement surveys, code of conduct trainings; and other customary programs, as needed Assist with several general office and business services matters for business unit locations Participate in confidential investigations of employee relations issues, when needed Assist with strategic projects and special initiatives, as assigned Keep the facility management team informed of safety concerns and Leading EHS metrics.  Actively promotes a safe culture.

Analyze incident causes, and hazards, and implement solutions to resolve any deficiencies. Ensure TRIR and incident reports are prepared and sent in a timely manner.    Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Ability to interact effectively with, and influence the decision making of management Experience recruiting for exempt and non-exempt roles; experience recruiting manufacturing related positions highly desired Excellent communication skills required (written, verbal and presentation) Excellent project management and organizational skills required Ability to remain flexible in the face of changing market forces and organizational priorities Ability to comfortably interact in a matrixed reporting structure with competing interests and priorities Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required Knowledge of employment law and practices required Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
