KENT Consumer Brands Americas, LLC, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, has an exciting opportunity to join our team supporting our consumer brands portfolio as a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician at our Bolingbrook, IL Facility . The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and systems within our food manufacturing facility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s). This position is designed and intended to be performed in Bolingbrook, IL. The compensation range for this role is $27 to $35 an hour, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely perform routine installations, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance on production equipment, PLCs, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Conduct preventive maintenance activities and support equipment improvement initiatives to extend asset life and enhance performance.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall plant operations. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements. Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, schedules, and best practices.
Provide training, guidance, and support to maintenance team members and assist with audits and inspections conducted by external agencies. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, machining, and fabrication/welding systems.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining production and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Strong basic math, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated reliability, attendance, and commitment to workplace safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and required training as needed.
