Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant TC – Primary Care Hiring Range $120,910.40 to $165,228.27 Hiring Incentive Sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Available shift options Full time Part time Intermittent About the Position: The Team Coverage (TC) Provider plays an important role in maintaining continuity, access, and timely care within the Primary Care setting.
When an empaneled primary care provider is unavailable, the Team Coverage Provider provides coverage for their customer-owners and supports by addressing both acute and ongoing primary care needs. Team Coverage Providers care for customer-owners across the lifespan, from newborns through end of life. Responsibilities may include acute and same-day visits, preventive care, well-child checks, chronic disease management, emergency department follow-up, hospital discharges, inbox management, and supporting population-based health measures and other care team priorities.
The Team Coverage Provider role is primarily focused on bridging gaps in access and providing timely, comprehensive primary care when the empaneled provider is unavailable. The position requires adaptability and flexibility, as coverage needs may vary based on provider availability, customer-owner needs, and clinic priorities. Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Nurse Practitioner Team Coverage and Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) Team Coverage is responsible for providing direct patient care in assigned area in accordance established protocols and treatment regimens. Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc.
(CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: Nurse Practitioner Team Coverage: Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.
Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) Team Coverage: Licensed as a Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in the State of Alaska; AND active Collaborative Agreement. Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
