The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to USSOCOM, J33 Current Operations Division, Regional Support Group (RSG) Branch(s).
Major duties: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of J33 Current Operations Division RSG Branch(s), ensuring that strategic direction and operational oversight of synchronized, comprehensive and continuous global campaign planning and execution comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Represents J33 Current Operations Division RSG Branch with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Serves as the Regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the J33 Crisis Management Team (CMT) for all USSOCOM Operational Planning events. Serves as Subject Matter Expert on all SOF-related issues relevant to the Specified Geographic Region at the strategic and operational level.
