The Classing Office administers assigned programs on cotton, cottonseed, and related commodities provided for in legislative and administrative requirements in connection with standards, marketing services, and allied regulatory responsibilities. As an Area Director, you will direct, administer, and carry out program and activities assigned to the office. Major duties: The duties may include, but are not limited to:,Participates in the formulation of programs within the assigned territory and in national policies.,Inspection and supervision of cotton sampling and other allied regulatory responsibilities within assigned territory.,Provides technical input and logistical support to other Program units in engineering, quality control, statistical, or other special studies.,Represents the Program in assigned area in contacting state and local officials on assigned functions.,Plans and assigns the work of the group with the assistance of subordinate supervisors, so as to minimize any backlog of samples to be classed.
Education: This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
