Information Technology Specialist (Customer Support)

About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Major duties: Develop and conduct training in custom or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications to internal staff and supported customers.,Resolve user questions concerning data connections, signal speeds, downloading/ uploading files, and operating characteristics of telecommunications equipment.,Analyze computer problems to determine whether they are related to software or hardware.,Assist in formulating policies and developing and implementing strategies and management guidelines for processing systems.,Develop expertise in supported computer applications to provide help-desk assistance and technical advice to staff and supported customers.

Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
