About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, Engineering and Construction Division (E&C). The St. Paul District E&C designs water resource projects to benefit the people of Minnesota, western Wisconsin, northeastern North Dakota, portions of South Dakota and Iowa, and the nation. These projects support inland navigation, flood risk management, and environmental restoration.

E&C also provides emergency response to disasters. Major duties: This position serves under general direction of the Chief, Engineering and Construction Division. Carries out mission objectives and responsibilities within the framework of appropriate directives, regulations, and policies.,Perform Branch program management, personnel supervisory and nonsupervisory technical review, and administrative work necessary for the development, planning, and administration of assigned Branch functions in accordance with the District Mission.,Branch responsibility extends to District engineering design for project oriented workload, accomplished by civil engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, and others involved in civil works efforts.,Administrative authority and responsibility extends to all aspects of Branch administrative and supervisory workload relative to a subordinate supervisory and nonsupervisory employee staff.,Exercise delegated resource management authority personally and through subordinates (supervisory and non-supervisory) in Sections to promote productivity, effective program and resource management, and high morale.,Develops and implements the comprehensive training program for design facilities.,As Chief, Design Branch, directs a significant segment of the Corps engineering design program.,Serve as senior technical advisor to the Chief, Engineering and Construction Division and District Engineer and staff regarding engineering design matters.
