About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Pathology, Blood Bank Services and Quality Assurance within Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. First shift; flexible on duty hours. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Account for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement oversight and support for blood donor operations and blood product manufacturing.,Review Section Performance and Improvement reports, identifies trends, and provides analytical assistance; recommends policy changes based on review findings.,Evaluate the quality of laboratory services and processes, the adequacy of equipment, personnel and working accommodations through on site inspections, audits, and/or review of reports.,Identify training needs and arranges for training as appropriate.
Reviews Section Performance Evaluation and Improvement reports, identifies trends, and provides analytical assistance; recommends policy changes based on review findings.,Advise personnel in other health care facilities within the Department of Defense (DoD) on various aspects of laboratory quality management and testing.,Serve as a faculty member or adjunct instructor for one or more of accredited education programs.
Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
