About the Position: Serves as a primary care behavioral health consultant providing clinical psychology services, assessments, and consultations within military medical clinics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Major duties: Serve as a Clinical Psychologist Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) for the Clinic and Behavioral Health System of Care (BHSOC) Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) program.,Assess acute mental health and behavioral medicine conditions in beneficiaries who present with such issues.,Provide treatment via targeted and efficient appointments for initial and follow-up visits.,Perform PCBH biopsychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of clinical and clinical health psychology.,Assist primary care providers with the treatment of patients with known high risk factors such as suicide, history of trauma, and co-occurring substance use disorders.,Evaluate clinical records and monitors all objective instrument administration and scoring for quality assurance.,Develop, implement, and evaluate professional development activities, coordinates inter and intra-departmental in-service training on PCBH related topics.
Education: FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S.
