About the Position: This position is assigned to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (DASD (MC&FP), Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (USD (P&R)). This position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy.
Major duties: Develop, implement, and coordinate policy for service member and family issues related to child abuse and neglect, problematic sexual behavior, and/or domestic abuse within the Department of Defense (DoD).,Conduct special assignments on complex, high-priority issues related to domestic abuse, in which the work frequently evolves as work progresses.,Review assigned programs for potential efficiencies based on joint service initiatives and/or federal partnership opportunities.,Maintain partnerships to resolve a variety of complex issues involving service members and their families when child abuse and neglect, problematic sexual behavior, and/or domestic abusee is identified.,Recommend program changes and enhancements to address child abuse and neglect, problematic sexual behavior, and/or domestic abuse DoD-wide.,Develop all manner of formal correspondence including position papers, decision memos and/or training materials.
