Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Staff Management)

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the NATIONAL GUARD BUREAU, JOINT STAFF NGB-J3/7, DOMES OPS & FORCE DEVEL DIR, ARLINGTON, VA. Major duties: Serves as the principal staff officer responsible for providing dedicated counterintelligence, security, and operational security (OPSEC) support to commanders and Program Managers,Reviews existing and proposed Signature Reduction efforts for compliance with NGB, DoD and Defense Counterintelligence (DCI) requirements, recommending modifications and adjustments as required.,Serves and directs the USD Intelligence and Security (USDIS) compliance program, monitoring and ensuring the Combatant Commands, Agencies, and Services, who are users of NGB Signature Reduction, are following existing policies and guidance.,Secures senior leadership approval for new signature reduction efforts to provide security for highly sensitive worldwide compartmented activities.,Performs the full range of personnel management responsibilities to include technical and administrative supervision of subordinates.,Plans, organizes and directs the work to be performed; assigns work and provides technical guidance to subordinates on the most complex issues; and reviews completed work for adequacy in meeting program requirements.
