You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Service Shop (Code 990), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Major duties: You will spot audits shop trade theory/core tasks records and qualification records for conformance with established guidelines.,You will establish metrics to identify material costs expended by each fiscal year for Overhead Expenditures/Labor Expenditures on a monthly basis.,You will coordinate procurement, storage, and the use of instructional materials and textbooks, audio visual aids, training devices, laboratory equipment.,You will participate in developing, scheduling, and implementing programs for the development of personnel through Continued Training and Development Programs.,You will maintain a database of Code/Shop CTD Proficiency Course Schedule on an annual basis to include mechanic, course to attend, and date and time.
Education: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or Successful completion of a LL.M., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
