About ACC Victoria Ltd Australian Christian College Victoria Ltd (ACC) is a non-denominational, Christian Education organisation, whose mission is to develop each and every student to be equipped spiritually, academically, socially and physically to flourish into their full potential, and be a positive influence on the world around them. ACC is wholeheartedly committed to excellence in education so that students are “well known, well loved, and well taught” by dedicated trained Christian staff.

ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries (CEM), with 17 schools in 5 states, and is also the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia.  About ACC Casey Our ACC Casey campus, is located at Cranbourne South (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-11, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for. We’re praying for the right teaching staff to come and join our team, and we’re thankful that you would consider our College as a place where you will have meaningful relationships and do meaningful work.

About the role We are seeking an outstanding Secondary English teacher to join ACC Casey from Term 1, 2027. ACC Casey is a growing P–12 Christian school, with Year 12 being added in 2027. This creates an exciting opportunity for an English teacher who wants not only to teach well, but to contribute to the ongoing development of a growing Secondary school. The successful applicant will teach Secondary English and play an important role in helping students become confident readers, thoughtful writers and effective communicators.

We are looking for a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with high expectations, excellent relationships and a genuine belief that every student is capable of meaningful academic growth. Teaching at ACC Casey is characterised by high expectations, strong relationships and evidence-informed practice. We want classrooms to be calm, purposeful and academically ambitious places where students know what they are learning, understand what success looks like and are supported to make sustained progress.

Our teaching and learning approach is increasingly informed by the Science of Learning and evidence about how students learn most effectively. Teachers are supported to strengthen practices including: * Explicit instruction and carefully sequenced learning; * Clear modelling of reading, writing and analytical thinking; * Frequent checking for understanding; * Effective questioning and opportunities for all students to respond; * Retrieval and deliberate review of prior learning; * Scaffolding complex tasks before moving students towards greater independence; * Explicit teaching of vocabulary, sentence construction and extended writing; * Purposeful use of assessment and student data to identify gaps and inform future teaching; * Strong classroom routines that maximise learning time; and * High expectations for student effort, behaviour and academic achievement.

A significant feature of our professional culture is instructional coaching. We believe excellent teachers continue to refine their craft, and we seek to make observation, feedback and professional dialogue normal parts of teaching at ACC Casey. Teachers participate in ongoing coaching and professional learning focused on practical improvements that can be implemented directly in the classroom. We value teachers who are reflective, open to feedback and willing to continually develop their practice.

Within English, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of curriculum, assessment and instructional practice across the Secondary years. As the College grows towards P–12, there is considerable scope for teachers who enjoy building strong programs, collaborating with colleagues and helping establish a culture of academic excellence. We would particularly welcome applications from teachers who: * Are passionate about English, literature, language an
