About ACC Casey Our ACC Casey campus, is located at Cranbourne South (45 minutes south of Melbourne), and is a P-11, co-ed, Christian school with Secondary year groups being added each year until P-12 is catered for. About the role We are looking for a Learning Support Teacher to help students thrive through targeted teaching, collaboration and inclusive classroom practice. Help students experience success, confidence and genuine belonging at school. ACC Casey is seeking a passionate and highly relational Learning Support Teacher to join our growing team in 2027. This is an important specialist teaching role for an educator who believes that every student can make meaningful progress when they are well known, well supported and taught in ways that respond to their individual learning needs.
Working closely with classroom teachers, Learning Support Assistants, school leaders, students and families, you will help strengthen inclusive practice across the College and provide targeted support for students requiring additional assistance with their learning. The role will include opportunities to: * Provide targeted individual and small-group teaching for students requiring additional support; * Work alongside classroom teachers to identify student learning needs and develop practical strategies that enable students to participate successfully in the classroom; * Support the development, implementation and review of Individual Learning Plans and targeted learning goals; * Use assessment data, teacher observations and student progress information to identify needs and measure the impact of intervention; * Assist teachers to differentiate curriculum, instruction and assessment for students with diverse learning needs; * Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants to ensure support is purposeful, consistent and focused on building student independence; * Contribute to Student Support Group meetings and work in partnership with parents, carers and relevant professionals where appropriate; * Support the College's processes relating to students with disability, adjustments and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD); * Build the capacity of colleagues by sharing effective strategies and contributing to a culture of excellent, inclusive teaching practice; and * Encourage students to recognise their strengths, persevere through challenge and experience genuine growth in both learning and confidence.
We are particularly interested in a teacher who combines strong pedagogical knowledge with patience, warmth and high expectations for students. Experience in learning support, intervention, inclusive education, literacy or numeracy support would be highly regarded, although teachers with strong classroom experience and a passion for this area are also encouraged to apply. ACC Casey is a growing school, and this role provides the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of our learning support practices as the College continues to expand.
