Job Title: Supply Chain Lead - Logistics Location: Houston Texas, Job Type: Full-time for 3 to 6 months Reports To: Head of Logistics Manager Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented International Logistics Lead to oversee and execute our end-of-the-end international shipping operations from Texas market. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless freight movement, trade compliance, and service delivery.
You will act as a bridge between logistics service providers (LSPs), internal business lines, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize routes, maintain visibility, and reduce operational costs. Key Responsibilities as a Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for : Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, analyze, and complete import/export documentation for appropriate parties to ensure strict adherence to all applicable federal, state, and international laws, as well as trade and tariff regulations.
Freight & Trade Management: Oversee freight and trade compliance by coordinating with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) for booking requests, equipment mobilization, and demobilization (mob/de-mob). ·End-to-End Solutions: Lead international shipping solutions to meet delivery targets. Maintain proactive communication with internal colleagues, external logistics providers, and various Business Lines (BLs) regarding logistics requirements, updates, and schedule cut-off times.
Tracking & Visibility: Monitor shipments/OHR to support tracking. Follow and update established routes, transit times, and collect Proof of Deliveries (PODs) to maximize supply chain visibility. Continuous Improvement: Develop general knowledge of specific lane histories and historical data to identify and bridge process gaps. Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance overall service levels, eliminate double handling and reduce operational cost Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that could delay the timely release or movement of freight.
Escalate highly unusual or high-impact situations to line management for review and reconciliation. Qualifications & Requirements To be successful in this role, you will bring: A High School Diploma or GED paired with a minimum of 4–5 years of progressive experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain Strong oral and written communication capabilities, alongside excellent interpersonal skills Prioritization: Proven ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities effectively, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
