The role We are looking for an experienced and driven Management Accounts Team Lead to join our Finance Centre of Excellence in Cape Town.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a newly established Management Accounts team while playing a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business decision-making and driving continuous improvement across our global finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical accounting expertise with strong people management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of monthly management accounts, maintaining high standards of financial control and developing a motivated, high-performing team.

What You'll Do Lead the preparation, review and delivery of monthly management accounts in line with group reporting deadlines. Ensure profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and key financial metrics are accurate, complete and supported by robust analysis. Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly. Deliver insightful variance analysis and financial commentary for senior stakeholders.

Manage, mentor and develop a team of Management Accountants, providing clear direction, coaching and performance support. Allocate workloads effectively and ensure reporting deadlines are consistently achieved. Partner with Finance Business Partners on budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. Present financial results and insights to senior stakeholders. Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistent reporting and alignment across the business.

Lead month-end close activities and maintain strong financial controls. Support audit and statutory reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and efficiencies, including support for D365 enhancements and finance transformation initiatives. Requirements Honours Degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong management accounting experience within an international organisation.

Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing finance teams. Strong technical accounting knowledge within multi-entity environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to take ownership, drive results and thrive in a fast-paced international environment.
