Quento Technologies S.A. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Android Engineer (Kotlin & Jetpack Compose) to take ownership of a modern native Android application built with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and a modular Gradle architecture.
In this role, you will work closely with product, design, backend, platform and QA teams to deliver high-quality, scalable mobile features across reusable UI components, networking, authentication, secure identity-verification journeys and release operations. Your responsibilities will entail: Own, develop and maintain the native Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose; Build maintainable Compose features using established Android architecture patterns and Hilt dependency injection; Contribute to a modular codebase with dedicated application, network, core, reusable-component and design-system modules; Integrate backend services through the application networking layer, supporting authentication and API-based customer journeys; Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs and identity-verification capabilities, including Jumio-based journeys where applicable; Develop secure device and customer journeys in line with Android security and fintech requirements; Build and maintain reusable Jetpack Compose components aligned with the application design system; Use Kotlin Serialization and KSP-based tooling where required by the codebase; Write and maintain unit, integration and UI tests, and contribute to reliable, testable software design; Support separate application flavors and environment-specific configuration for development and release builds; Contribute to Android build, release and distribution processes, including Firebase App Distribution and production monitoring with New Relic; Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions and ongoing improvements to application quality and architecture; Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Kotlin and native Android development; Hands-on experience building production Android features with Jetpack Compose; Solid understanding of Android application architecture and state-driven UI development; Hands-on experience with Hilt dependency injection; Experience with modular Android applications and reusable components or libraries; Experience integrating backend APIs, authentication or identity services and third-party SDKs; Experience with Kotlin Serialization and familiarity with KSP-based code generation; Understanding of Android security best practices, including secure token and credential storage; Experience with Gradle Kotlin DSL and dependency management using version catalogs; Proficiency with Android Studio, debugging tools and performance-analysis tools; Experience writing unit and UI tests using appropriate Android testing frameworks; Familiarity with Git-based collaborative development workflows and code reviews; Experience working in an Agile delivery environment; Strong communication, ownership and collaboration skills.
