✨  About the role As The Very Group continues to evolve its strategy and accelerate growth, the Head of Strategy Execution will play a critical role in turning strategic priorities into measurable outcomes. Working across Strategy, Finance, EPMO and Delivery, Technology and business teams, the role is responsible for ensuring the organisation remains focused on the initiatives that matter most, translating priorities into executable plans, removing barriers to delivery and ensuring investment delivers tangible customer, commercial and operational benefits.

AI will be a major area of focus, with responsibility for identifying, prioritising and scaling initiatives that improve customer outcomes, increase colleague productivity and deliver meaningful business value. What you'll be doing: Turn strategy into measurable outcomes  Work with the business to translate strategic priorities into clear plans, measurable outcomes and delivery roadmaps. Ensure the organisation remains focused on the initiatives that will create the greatest customer and commercial value.

Partner closely with Finance to define, track and validate benefits, ensuring investments deliver expected outcomes. Work closely with EPMO to ensure initiatives are appropriately governed and remain on track. Help leaders navigate trade-offs, remove barriers and accelerate delivery where required. Lead AI adoption and scaling Lead the business approach to AI adoption, ensuring priorities are aligned to wider strategic and value creation objectives.

Identify, prioritise and scale AI use cases that improve customer experience, increase productivity and drive commercial performance. Work with Technology, Data and business teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable and embedded into day-to-day operations. Promote a test-and-learn culture, helping the organisation move quickly from pilot activity to measurable business impact. Build organisational engagement and confidence in AI-enabled change, helping leaders and teams adopt new ways of working.

About you Experience leading large-scale strategic delivery, execution or value creation programmes in a complex organisation. Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes. Experience working across strategy, finance, technology and operational teams to drive execution and change. Ability to translate ambiguity into clear plans, priorities and actions. Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing senior leaders and driving accountability for delivery.

Structured thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify complexity. Experience of AI-enabled change and a strong interest in how technology can create business value. Combines strategic thinking with a strong bias for action and delivery. Most importantly, you'll be someone who can bridge strategy and execution, ensuring the Group’s most important priorities, including AI, translate into measurable business outcomes.
