SALARY: Opportunity to earn in excess of £52,000 (This includes basic and additional supplements - base is determined on experience). · Undertake planned and reactive maintenance of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV and access-control systems. · Attend customer sites in response to system failures and malfunctions; diagnose faults logically and rectify them using appropriate repair or replacement methods. Installation and Commissioning · Support and undertake installation, modification and commissioning works for fire and security systems in line with specifications, drawings, relevant standards and company procedures.
· Plan work activities, check materials, coordinate access and installation arrangements with customers and other contractors, and ensure the safe storage of equipment on site. · Install, connect, test and commission equipment, cables and containment as required. Planning, Documentation and Teamwork · Plan and organise own workload efficiently, prioritising customer needs, safety requirements and contractual commitments.
· Complete all required electronic and paper records accurately and on time, including PDA records, customer record books, timesheets, test results and unusual incident reports. · Communicate promptly and concisely with the service desk regarding customer issues, outstanding work and follow-on requirements. Essential Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge · Experience of servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing fire detection alarm systems and electronic security systems.
