With offices located in Canada, the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia, our Global Investment Banking group provides equity and debt underwriting as well as corporate finance advisory services to corporations and institutions through a number of industry and product groups. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a group of professionals ranging from Analysts to Managing Directors who are dedicated to advising clients.
You will be working in one of the following industry or product groups within Investment Banking: Global Diversified Industries Energy, Infrastructure and Transition Financials & Private Capital Real Estate Equity Capital Markets Mergers & Acquisitions Technology & Innovation Debt Capital Markets At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.
To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time. The expected annualized base salary for this role is $105,000. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

The two-year Advancement Program is structured with the following components: Mentorship and career development programming from November 2026 – April 2027. The program will consist of virtual monthly group learning sessions with senior leaders, as well as one-to-one mentoring with an Investment Banking team member. This is an opportunity for you to learn from and be mentored by members of the Global Investment Banking team and is not a paid work term .
Summer 2027 IB Analyst Internship comprising of the formal work term within the Global Investment banking team [May to August 2027; paid work term . Upon successful completion of the Summer 2027 work term, join CIBC for a second Global Investment Banking Internship during Summer 2028 [May to August 2028; paid work term . Through the Investment Banking Summer Advancement Program, you will also have the opportunity to: Gain business knowledge and leadership skills through formal training and hands-on experience.
