The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across the organisation. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and internal policies, while delivering excellent customer service to team members and stakeholders. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract on a part time basis (32 hours per week) Key responsibilities include: End-to-end processing of payroll.
Processing annual leave, long service and sick leave Managing the payroll inbox (email, phone calls) and liaise with employees, supervisors, and managers as necessary to verify and resolve payroll queries Timekeeping, ensuring costing, correct hours and rates are adjusted accordingly. Maintenance of employee records Ensure that all available system audit trails are retained and are available for inspection by both internal and external auditors.
About you Established experience working within a Payroll/Finance environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide high end customer service. Highly organised and ability to manage strict timeframes and priortise workload. Solid knowledge with legislation and payroll awards.
