Position will be PRN, as needed for vacant shifts Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 Centralized Telemetry Monitoring Technician – IMC Progressive Care Wilkesboro, NC, United States Where You Will Work: Progressive Care is a 16 bed unit, sometimes referred to as a “Step-Down Unit” for patients who are recovering from critical conditions but still require close monitoring and more frequent assessments than a standard unit can offer.

Our Progressive Care is dedicated in providing patient and family centered care, while collaborating with the healthcare team, including physicians/providers, specialists, case management, respiratory therapists, and more to ensure each patient receives the most complete care. Our low nurse to patient ratio, multiple nurse aides, and out of staffing charge nurse ensures quality care, frequent monitoring, and exceptional customer service.

Successful completion of an approved dysrhythmia course during first week of hire and must pass dysrhythmia test during first week of orientation. What You’ll Do: Ensures continuous telemetry monitoring is established and documentation is maintained.

Ensures monitoring equipment is functioning correctly. Ensures dysrhythmias or rhythm changes are communicated timely. Maintains knowledge and skills related to dysrhythmia monitoring. Participates in quality improvement projects. Supports provision of age/developmental appropriate care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the age groups served. Promotes efficient use of fiscal resources.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of various dysrhythmias Knowledge of medical terminology Basic computer skills Strong communication skills WORK ENVIRONMENT: Walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English in good understandable terms.
