This position reports to: Service Business Process Manager __ JOB SUMMARY The Global Project Manager / Product Manager owns the strategy, vision, roadmap, and end-to-end delivery of digital and AI-enabled products or services that drive value for ABB customers and the business.

This role bridges technology, business, and customer needs while leading global cross-functional initiatives, ensuring products are developed, launched, and evolved based on market demand, customer feedback, business objectives, and successful project execution. The Global Project Manager / Product Manager is accountable for product-market fit, competitive positioning, go-to-market strategy, program governance, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes including revenue, market share, customer satisfaction, and delivery of strategic initiatives.

This is a global position with core teams and stakeholders located in Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Candidates based in these countries are preferred; however, other locations may be considered based on business needs and candidate qualifications. The role requires regular collaboration across international teams and time zones. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Defines and communicates product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with ABB business objectives and market opportunities Conducts market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify market needs, trends, and opportunities Develops detailed product requirements documents (PRDs) and use cases that guide engineering and design teams Collaborates with engineering, design, data science, and marketing teams to ensure successful product development and launch Establishes product success metrics (OKRs, KPIs) and monitors performance against targets; analyzes product adoption and customer feedback Owns the go-to-market strategy including positioning, pricing, pricing model, sales enablement, and launch planning Manages product backlog, prioritization, and release planning in collaboration with engineering teams Gathers and prioritizes customer and stakeholder feedback; translates insights into product improvements and innovations Manages product lifecycle from conception through launch, growth, maturity, and sunset phases Analyzes sales pipelines, pipeline velocity, win/loss analysis to optimize product-market positioning and messaging Identifies and evaluates partnership opportunities, API integrations, and ecosystem expansion possibilities Drives adoption and customer success initiatives; builds product communities and gathering user feedback loops Communicates product vision and strategy to executives, customers, partners, and internal stakeholders Monitors industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape; anticipates market shifts KEY COMPETENCIES & TECHNICAL SKILLS Product Management Skills Product Strategy & Roadmapping: Ability to develop compelling product strategies aligned with business goals Market Research & Analysis: Customer discovery, competitive analysis, market sizing, trend identification Product Requirements & Documentation: Writing clear PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria Agile & Scrum: Experience with agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog management Data-Driven Decision Making: Understanding metrics, analytics, A/B testing, experimentation Go-to-Market Strategy: Product positioning, pricing strategy, launch planning, sales enablement Customer Discovery & Feedback: Ability to gather insights, conduct interviews, analyze customer feedback Stakeholder Management: Cross-functional collaboration, executive communication, influence without authority Technical Knowledge Basic understanding of software architecture and technical feasib
