 Location : Hyderabad, Telangana, India This role requires working from our office 2-3x a week RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL pipelines to support our enterprise data warehouse and analytical needs. Build scalable data models to support real-time transaction monitoring, reconciliation, chargeback tracking, and fraud analysis.
Work with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data models and reports. Manage and optimize large-scale data systems using Oracle and SQL Server. Integrate and normalize payment data from diverse platforms (e.g., Worldpay, Adyen, Stripe). Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies between systems to support timely reconciliation and root cause analysis.
Build dashboards and reports to monitor approval rates, decline reasons, dispute trends, and interchange fee performance. Drive automation in payment reporting processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. Maintain documentation of ETL workflows, data dictionaries, and SLA guarantees for downstream consumers. Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and help shape data strategy from the ground up.
Continuously improve data engineering practices and drive automation wherever possible. QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence or Data Engineering role Strong experience with Oracle and SQL Server, including complex SQL query writing and performance tuning. Proven expertise in designing and building ETL workflows for large- scale data warehouses Working understanding of payment processing flows, PSP integrations, and key payment metrics (e.g., conversion rate, chargeback rate, retry logic) Familiarity with data modeling techniques and data warehousing concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas, SCDs).
Experience handling ambiguity in problem statements and requirements; and converting them into structured data solutions Experience in Statistical modelling for forecasting and fraud analytics preferred Strong communication and stakeholder management skills AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE: Exposure to Python, Spark, or other data transformation frameworks is a plus Experience working with Databricks platform and related technologies.
Flexibility in work timings to collaborate across time zones (beyond regular day shift) Strong organizational skills to maintain documentation and streamline workflows Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus
