The key purpose of this role is to provide specialist electrical maintenance expertise to support packaging operations. The role focuses on ensuring the reliable operation of packaging equipment, minimizing downtime, assisting with troubleshooting, and supporting shift teams through effective maintenance and problem-solving activities.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environment Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and legal requirements. Maintain housekeeping and workplace safety standards. Identify unsafe conditions and practices. Ensure proper use of PPE and maintenance tools. Electrical Maintenance & Repairs Maintain and repair packaging plant equipment and electrical systems. Diagnose faults and perform corrective maintenance.

Prepare and plan maintenance activities. Use workshop equipment and technical documentation effectively. Operational Support Provide specialist electrical support to shift-based teams. Assist as a technical expert during operational issues. Support Process Artisans and, where required, perform Process Artisan duties. Planned & Routine Maintenance Participate in maintenance planning meetings.

Execute scheduled maintenance activities and shutdown work. Conduct inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance. Participate in maintenance reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Investigate equipment failures and operational issues. Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys). Support implementation of corrective actions.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies. Work Order & Administration Management Complete maintenance work orders accurately. Manage maintenance backlog activities. Raise follow-on work requests where required. Ensure quality repairs with minimal rework. Minimum Requirements: Trade Tested Electrical Artisan. N3 Electrical qualification. Electrical Trade qualification with Control & Automation exposure preferred.

1 to 2 years' experience as an Electrical Artisan in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment. Minimum 2 to 3 months on-the-job training. Ideal: 3 to 6 months on-the-job training. Key Competencies: Strong electrical maintenance knowledge. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in teams. Attention to safety and quality standards. People-handling and communication skills.
