The key purpose of this role is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.

Install, inspect, test, and commission electrical installations. Diagnose and repair faults in motors, transformers, switchgear, control panels, and electrical circuits. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical problems and recommend corrective actions. Replace defective electrical components and wiring.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, standards, and company procedures. Participate in planned shutdowns and emergency breakdown repairs. Assist in improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency. Maintain good housekeeping practices in work areas. Use electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, and clamp meters.

Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures. Key Competencies: Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, drives, PLCs, and industrial controls. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and drawings. Good understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good time management and organizational skills. Computer literacy for maintenance reporting and record keeping. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent Advanced Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field. Valid Artisan Electrical License (where applicable). Membership with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.

Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, commercial, or utility environments.
