Our Medical/Surgical team provides care to a diverse adult patient population, working closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care. Operations Associate/ Monitor Technician Responsibilities Include: Bed Management & Patient Flow: Coordinates admissions, discharges, transfers, bed assignments, patient transport, and discharge readiness; monitors bed status and supports efficient patient throughput.
Clinical & Team Communication: Serves as a central communication resource for nurses, physicians, case managers, ancillary departments, patients/families, and hospital teams; provides shift handoffs and facilitates timely follow-up. Administrative & Unit Support: Accurately uses hospital systems and maintains patient records, logs, forms, staffing assignments, schedules, supplies, and other unit documentation and resources.
Hospitalist & Care Team Support: Supports Hospitalists and medical/surgical teaching teams with rounds, consults, follow-up appointments, daily assignments, and other operational needs. Patient Safety & Monitoring: Observes cardiac monitors, reports abnormal rhythms, maintains monitoring equipment, provides one-to-one observation as required, and initiates appropriate emergency procedures.
Clinical Competency & Compliance: Maintains required departmental competencies, including telemetry/dysrhythmia training and CPR/BLS certification when applicable, and follows all established policies and procedures.
