ICAM Data Scientist The Opportunity: As a data scientist, you’re excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you’re fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artifi cia l intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges.
Across private and public sectors—from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence—we need you to help find the answers in the data. On our team, you’ll support the Department of Veterans Affairs’ ( VA ) identity ecosystem that spans the Master Person Index, including 85M+ unique identities, and 900M tra nsa ctions per month across 200+ applications, Saviynt/APDS identity governance data, and CyberArk privileged access management.
You'll help to support one of these areas primarily to support the mission critical ICAM services that support all veterans and entities interacting with VA. As ICAM Data Scientist, you will build the analytics, dashboards, and, where appropriate, AI / ML models that support identity-data quality monitoring, privileged-access anomaly detection, and the ICAM program's KPI and AQL reporting obligations across every task area.
You will also assist in working around and migrating from legacy ICAM systems which are highly complex and massively scaled. Work with us as we use data science for good. What You’ll Work On: Build identity-data quality and reconciliation analytics across MPI, APDS / Saviynt, and AD / Entra ID to support data-management requirements to ensure identity integrity and address bulk validation / cleanup requests.
Develop anomaly-detection and UEBA-style analytics on privileged-session and access logs feeding the ITDR layer. Evaluate AI-assisted analytics use cases, including access-anomaly detection, certification prioritization, and identity-risk scoring. Leverage AI intelligently to drive efficiency and quality of output. Automate tasks wherever appropriate. Develop and consistently use ways of working which allow Agents and automated processes to effectively assist.
