Job Description: Job Description Summary Conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Position Responsibilities · Evaluate returned products within the guidelines of Vante Quality system and other department policies to determine the cause of failure.
· Follow SOP instructions to complete equipment inspections & repairs. · Complete equipment repairs through the utilization of various hand tools and test equipment. · Repair Technician III will be experienced in the use of test equipment such as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, frequency meter, curve tracer, impedance meter or spectrum analyzer. · Through strong communication and technical skills, train fellow Repair Technicians and implement Engineering improvements and/or fixes based on guidance from the Engineering Team.
· Strong solder skills to replace or solder defective wiring and board level components. · Mentor and/or train new hire Technicians and lower-level Technicians on Process & Technical requirements. · Review documentation, create documentation, support the DCR Process for document improvements & updates. · Other duties may be assigned. Position Tasks · Troubleshooting & repairing circuit boards which do not perform as expected on customer owned equipment through the RMA process.
· Troubleshooting and repair of electronic, electro-mechanical equipment returned from customers or on in-house equipment. · Annual Certification / Calibration on Machine Solutions Manufactured Equipment. · Participate in improving the work instructions used by RMA Dept. and the QC procedures for existing products. · Train personnel in the use of test equipment, as needed.
· Read dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristic
