In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements: Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee. Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester.
This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters. Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN). Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable. A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester. Federal Work Study student may apply. In good disciplinary standing. Must be located in the U.S.

The Student and Community Life Office Coordinator is a student leadership opportunity within the Division of Student and Community Life. Working closely with members of the division, the Office Coordinator helps create a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include general administrative support, organizing supplies and shared spaces, assisting with events and programs, providing basic technical support, and completing a variety of tasks that support the day-to-day work of the office/division.
This role offers students an opportunity to build leadership, communication, organizational, and community-building skills while contributing to the Berklee community. Under the supervision of the AVP of Community and Belonging, the SLC Office Coordinators will receive guidance, support, and training to ensure they are successful in their roles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: SLC Office Coordinators will: Serve as the first point of contact for the Office of the Vice President of Student and Community Life (155 Mass Ave., 4th Floor), welcoming and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Answer phones, greet and announce visitors, respond to general inquiries, and connect community members with appropriate campus resources and departments. Provide general administrative support, including scanning, photocopying, organizing supplies, and assisting staff with day-to-day tasks. Assist with calendar management and staff scheduling as needed. Support the planning and execution of events and programs from the Office of Community & Belonging, including technology, catering, physical plant orders, room setup, and event breakdown.
Assist with marketing, outreach, and social media initiatives as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the Division of Student and Community Life. Required Skills and Knowledge: Current Berklee student in good academic standing. Friendly, welcoming, and community-minded approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks and deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Respect for privacy and ability to maintain confidentiality. Willingness to learn how to support and connect community members to appropriate resources. Preferred Skills and Knowledge: Basic proficiency with Mac and Microsoft Office Multilingual skills are a plus. Familiarity with Canva and/or other graphic design software. Familiarity with creating and managing digital and online content.
