About the role: To assist the Operations Manager in the smooth and efficient operation of the technical, quality & compliance thereby improving customer satisfaction. To act as the sites depot Management Representative for BRC, VDA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and develop the depots systems for ensuring product quality and integrity. Responsibilities: Provide BRC support., lead the implementation of systems and act as the Management Representative during site external & customer audits.

Support the Operations Manager in the management of the QMS and in preparing and undergoing external accreditation audits and Regulatory Visits (ie BRC, VDA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) Completion of Internal Audit programme at both sites in conjunction with depot Internal Auditors. Create the Scunthorpe depot HACCP risk assessments and fulfil the role of HACCP team leader. Complete Customer questionnaires for both sites’ customers in a timely manner.

Assist site Operations Manager with the preparation and completion of Customer, Supplier and legal audits. Manage lab trials and new product development. In conjunction with the Operations Manager, manage the Customer Complaint system – to include complaint investigation and corrective action implementation, non-conforming product and customer liaison. Analysis of materials (both raw materials and finished goods) in accordance with agreed parameters and maintenance of all associated records.

Ensure calibration of Laboratory and Site Equipment in accordance with planned schedules and maintenance and storage of adequate stocks of laboratory consumables. Laboratory housekeeping. Creation and issuing of depot generated Certificates of Analysis in a timely manner. Supplier liaison on quality issues. Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate Line Managers related to the effective and efficient performance of the job and within the job holder’s skills and ability.

Non-conformance and complaint investigations. Authorising new site-specific general chemicals via site risk assessment including storage requirements. Control of quality procedures, oversight of document control, implementation of training plan and activities. Final sign off and oversight outsourced activity under customer verification. Oversight of internal audits for BRC, VDA & ISO. Your skills & experience Level 3 HACCP for Manufacturing Certified Internal Auditor Certified First Aider Health & Safety Qualification desirable.

Experience in Chemical Storage and Distribution and Laboratory analysis methods, techniques, and GLP.
