Position Summary: The QA Engineer will focus on the development and execution of manual and automated scripts which validate the functionality and useability of the application under test. We are seeking a skilled QA engineer with strong background in creating SQL queries, database usage, functional testing, integration testing and End to End testing. In addition, they will provide test metrics and address any issues and concerns which may affect project schedule to the Test Lead.
Requirement (Required Skills) : B. S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines with 3-5 years of software test experience 3+ years of experience in creating and executing SQL queries . Strong experience in database testing and validation. 3+ years of experience of work ing in an I ntegration e nvironment , well versed in testing integration and End to End testing.
Good k nowledge in API testing using Postman or any standard market tool. Proven functional testing experience . Proficient in the use of automated tools used to support testing (e.g. test management, defect tracking, etc.) Keen to learn and adapt new AI tools which can automate processes Preferred Skills : Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Enthusiastic about learning new techniques, strong analytical and problem-solving skill. Good judgment, prompt decision-making ability, responsibility, and accountability Commitment to working in a team environment . Knowledge on Automation using Python and Pandas Library is good to have. Responsibility: Create test plans which ensures that ETL logic, the required data transformations and data load is as specified in the requirement documentation Creation of data records which tests the boundary conditions of the logic defined Creation of SQL scripts using multiple tables joins, unions, data filtering conditions based on technical mapping or design documents.
Creation PL/SQL procedures to batch schedule series of DML, DDL SQL scripts . Test scheduled and integrated jobs, do data comparisons and have experience in doing E2E testing across different applications . Write data sanity tests like Count check, Reconcile records with the source data, duplicate check, etc. Create or Schedule database jobs to run at specified times, logging audits of job run in audit tables, to be referred while defect triage Provide test status and raise issues and potential risks to Test Lead Effectively document defects using automated defect tracking software.
