Job Description Customer Investigations: Support customer-facing quality investigations, helping to identify root causes, coordinate effective corrective actions, and maintain clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
Quality Planning & Risk Management: Assist in developing and maintaining quality plans, supporting risk identification and mitigation through tools such as FMEA to ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with manufacturing, engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams to resolve quality challenges and ensure alignment.
Documentation & Reporting: Contribute to customer reports, quality documentation, and project updates, ensuring all information is accurate, timely, and communicated professionally. Data Analysis: Analyse quality performance data to identify trends, emerging risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Structured Problem-Solving: Support root cause investigations using methodologies such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), and Pareto Analysis to drive robust issue resolution.
CAPA Management: Support the implementation, tracking, and verification of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs), ensuring actions are effective, timely, and properly documented. Audit Support: Support internal and external audits, contributing to audit preparation, evidence gathering, follow-up actions, and ongoing compliance with the site Quality Management System and ISO 9001 requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of quality by sharing best practices and supporting improvement initiatives across the business. Essential candidate requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or a related engineering discipline. Relevant Experience: Hands-on experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or quality-focused environment, gained through employment, apprenticeship, placement year, or graduate programme, with direct involvement in quality activities.
Customer & Operational Quality Exposure: Experience supporting quality investigations, resolving non-conformances, and working across functions to address product or process quality issues in a manufacturing environment. Quality Systems & Manufacturing Knowledge: Good working knowledge of quality management principles, manufacturing processes, and the practical application of quality requirements within an operational setting.
Structured Problem-Solving: Practical experience supporting root cause investigations using structured methods such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto Analysis, or similar problem-solving tools. Advanced Quality Tools: Working knowledge of core quality tools and methods, including FMEA and CAPA , with the ability to apply them in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Audit & Compliance: Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience supporting internal and external audits, including audit preparation, evidence gathering, follow-up actions, and QMS compliance activity.
