Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and manage documentation for complex hardware-based systems. Author, review, edit, and update operator and technical service documentation in English. Ensure all documentation complies with GE HealthCare Technical Publications standards, processes, and quality requirements. Create and deliver complete operator and service documentation releases aligned with product development milestones.
Track, analyze, and resolve documentation issues and defects. Support the development and implementation of documentation strategies, standards, and best practices. Collaborate closely with engineering, service, quality, regulatory, and product teams to gather, validate, and organize technical information. Participate in documentation verification activities and, when required, test documentation on systems to ensure technical accuracy and usability.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on documentation quality, process efficiency, and customer experience. Quality & Compliance Responsibilities Comply with the GE HealthCare Quality Management System, Quality Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable regulatory requirements. Complete all required Quality and Compliance training within established deadlines. Identify, document, and escalate quality or compliance concerns and support appropriate corrective actions.
Support the successful completion of regulatory and quality requirements before finalizing design outputs and program deliverables. Participate in continuous improvement efforts by identifying process and product quality gaps and proposing effective solutions. Required Qualifications One of the following educational backgrounds: Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline; or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; or Technical Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical field.
In addition, candidates should have: Experience writing and editing technical documentation for hardware products or complex technical systems. Experience using structured authoring methodologies and DITA. Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS), including tools such as Oxygen and Astoria.
