Title of Job: Clinical Nurse Manager II – HDU Grade: CNM II Reports to: Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing Key Reports: Staff Nurses, Student Nurses, HCAs & Support Staff Type of Contract: Permanent – Full Time Purpose of the Role The role of the Clinical Nurse Manager II encompasses responsibility for the provision of the highest standard of nursing care to patients in High Dependency Unit.

He/she will be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and the effective and efficient management of resources by leading, managing and developing the nursing and healthcare assistant team to ensure excellence in patient care under the designated Anaesthetist Consultant. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining and developing professional standards including developing the scope of specialist nursing practice within the HDU.
