Responsible 1) In-Process Manufacturing Inspection Perform routine in-process inspections at established quality gates and throughout production. Focus inspections on critical-to-quality characteristics, high-risk assembly operations, workmanship concerns, historical defect trends, known failure modes, and hidden defects that may be obscured by later assembly steps.
Evaluate manufacturing readiness, process compliance, and production break-ins for new products, changes, and corrective actions. 2) Change and Deviation Verification Verify implementation and effectiveness of Change Requests (CRs), deviations, temporary work instructions, corrective actions, and manufacturing process changes. Confirm removal of obsolete material, operator awareness and training, traceability, and proper execution of updated manufacturing requirements.
Increase inspection frequency during production break-ins until process stability is demonstrated. 3) Manufacturing Quality Assessment Inspect product and process quality across key manufacturing areas, including: Fabrication: dimensional compliance, hole locations, bend accuracy, material condition. Welding: weld quality, penetration, structural weld integrity, porosity, cracks, lifting point welds Coating / Surface Finish: powder coat coverage, coating thickness, corrosion protection, cosmetic appearance Mechanical Assembly: hardware installation, washer stack-ups, torque verification, fit-up, door alignment Water Ingress Prevention: gaskets, sealants, cable entries, roof penetrations, drain paths Electrical Installation: cable routing, wire segregation, grounding, labeling, connectors, fire-rated cable installation, CAT6a shielding requirements Regulatory Compliance: NEC labels, UL labels, safety labels, nameplates, and serial traceability.
4) Pre-Shipment Inspection and Product Release Readiness Execute formal pre-shipment inspections using approved Fluence inspection checklists and current risk-based inspection criteria. Verify product completeness, mechanical and electrical assembly, torque verification status, water ingress controls, grounding and bonding, labeling, cosmetic condition, open NCR/deviation status, and documentation completeness.
